Editing my footage

The biggest part of making my opening sequence was editing the footage together. Since I already had experience editing footage on premiere pro, I was rather confident in my ability to complete this task.

I first started by selecting the best footage from all my raw footage and cutting them together.

I had quite a bit of raw footage, so going through each one individually was tiring, but it was extremely important that I selected the best footage for my opening.

In the case of adding transitions, I stuck to the standard cut, as I wanted to keep a fast pace and a sort of bounce from scene to scene. In a few places, however, I did use the dissolve transition as it was better suited for that instance.

When editing my audio, I didn't have many edits to make, but I used an L cut in the conversation scene between Alyssa and Natalia as I wanted to show Alyssa's reaction while she was receiving the news from her best friend as opposed to showing it after the friend delivered the news. I also used a J cut between the phone ringing and Alyssa picking up the phone to better connect the two scenes.
