Evaluation 4 - How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware and online - in this project?

Below is a short video I made to answer this question.

Evaluation 3 - How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

Before beginning media studies, the most experience I had with filmmaking was when I made birthday videos for my friends or little video presentations for school. However, after beginning work on my foundation portfolio I felt that my skills had increased significantly from what they used to be, and I viewed filmmaking differently as well. At the beginning of last year, my friends and I entered a short film competition, and we edited the footage together. However, when you watch that and then my film opening sequence you can see that there is a definite improvement from what my knowledge and skills used to be. Linked below is the short film we made for the competition that the competition hosts uploaded onto their channel.

Evaluation 2 - How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

Attached is a presentation I made on Prezi to answer this question

Evaluation 1 - How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

Attached is a presentation I made on Prezi to answer this question.

Adding a Production company logo to the beginning of my Sequence

I decided to add the production company logo before my film opening. I felt that this was a better way to start my film opening instead of just fading in from black.  I chose the name LunuDehi Productions as it 'LunuDehi' is a popular dish in Sri Lanka. After watching a few tutorials online, I used photoshop to design my logo. I made it a simple one with a nice font from 1001fonts.com and had hand-drawn stars blink in and out around the words 'LunuDehi Productions'. I wanted it to give out fun and wholesome vibes which I think it successfully did.  Next I imported my creation as a gif and added it to the beginning of my sequence. I added a few transitions to blend it together and was satisfied with the result.

Editing the Credits

After feedback from my teacher, I decided to spruce up my credits a bit more. I added two different fonts for important names and accompanying texts. For example in 'In association with Studio 1900', 'In association with' would have a different font to 'studio 1900'.  I also added a shadow to the text so that it was better visible against the video. I increased the font size and added more credits as well.  This is the order of credits I used  Production Company Associated studio Starring -  Director of Cinematography Writer & Director Producer The title of the film was displayed at the end.
